Living For You!

"Live your life for you!" - A funny concept, if you ask me.

You know what makes it even funnier, that those who promote it, are the same persons that become visibly and incredibly upset if you live for yourself. Why then do they promulgate such a concept if they want things done for them and with them in mind??????? - A funny concept, if you ask me!!

Many say it to make it sound exciting, and empowering.

To me it sounds selfish.

At the end of the day, living your life for you is just not the way life was intended to be.

Hence the reason why were were born into families, we were born of someone. Our mothers were not able to "live for herself" and if we think about it, what if she did?? Then many of us, who now live this self professed rule, would not even exist. Yeah.

Even for those of us, who grew up in orphanages, the caretakers did not live for themselves. So why should we?

And if we decide, that, "Well those people wanted to do that and that was their choice. But I am making mine and I am living for me!!" then, how selfish. At some point in time, our self-living actions and decisions will negatively affect the persons around us. It will affect our family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, peers and eventually the wider society. IT IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO THINK WE CAN ONLY LIVE TO PLEASE OURSELVES.

That is why other concepts, like compromise and sacrifice are practiced. Because when we live there must be some 'give-and-take'
